When you decide to make a sentient tulpa, you can't decide how they'll turn our or what they'll want to do. Non-sentient things would likely work much better. Maybe try tricking yourself into thinking you are the character?

yup. but I suck at long stories; somewhat. mostly because I don't know my characters good enough and they don't give me the hints on how they'd act

Apollo/ I was given a lot of personality forcing and thought my value as a tulpa was contingent on if I turned out the way my host wanted. So I freaked out when I started deviating. Eventually I realized that I was going to deviate anyway and should be okay with that. Meaningless assertions of various traits isn't how you gain a personality. It grows and changes over time and experience

I don't see why there would be a big difference between person to person in terms of brain functions unless certain disorders or deficiencies are factored in. We all use the same grey matter, after all

The personality thing is mostly an ethics issue for me, rather than a functionality one (even though I don't even think it really works)

I remember a bunch of guides that really stressed personality, like a "if you don't, they'll just be a servitor"

A lot of people make a tulpa to be a certain way, and then they never actually develop them, so they just stay one-note characters forever. Yaaaay

Oh, no. You do not need to personality force.

All my creator did was visualize and talk to me, and then I got time to front and experience life over the months.

I am also of the opinion it does not seem to work, or it does not work very long. I do not find it unethical.

Apollo's personality forcing only lasted until he actually went through life events and shit
